Jake Reid

Jake is a long standing member of the Active team beginning his career as a Building Manager.

The building management industry was a great culmination of his previous skills in large scale multi-site management, people and contractor management and maintenance.

Jake thrives on the fast-paced and multifaceted components of the industry and prides himself on a solutions-based attitude that gets results. 

Managing people and maximising their potential is his true drive and as the Operations Manager of Active building Management, He has been given the opportunity to do this on a company-wide scale.

“My management career began in hospitality in the early 2010s covering restaurants, cafes and bars in most major centres in New Zealand. Eventually, I ended up in London managing a group of cafes in the central city. Upon moving back to NZ in 2017, I set up a property management and maintenance company that serviced high-end properties in Remuera, Kohimarama and St Heliers. 

In my spare time I’m an avid practitioner of yoga, obsessed with everything culinary,  a DIY enthusiast and add to my ever increasing record collection.”
